Final Project Preparation

Date Night

Finished watching Date Night last night. It was good!

Modaris

Other than classes on illustrator, photoshop and indesign. We are finally having some other classes on a program called Modaris. Basically it is a software which helps you to draw your pattern. It uses in most of the fashion industry all over the world. The class today is not very long, so need to absorb as much as I can within few hours. It is a very confusing program for me due to the amount of buttons.

Draping class

Today at college we have got a draping class with our level 1 tutor Marilyn. In the morning we just review what we have done in 1st year, like the sleeves and stuff. In the afternoon we used an hour on draping on the stand. Nothing really special, but I don't really drape so I find it quite surprise my draping is actually not that bad. Not showing all what I have done.

The Escritt's

Lastly, I have helping my friend Lulu Escritt out on her collection. One of the piece we are working on is a knitwear dress with all the sequins, and a belt with all the embroideries. Today we have a hot pot night at her place! It is Lulu's Sichuan homemade style, and it is awesome! Really thanks for who have cooked for me lastly - Alec and Lulu. Thank you so much, you all are amazing, best cook! Sometimes I do wish there will be a machine in this world can just scan me and tell me what I am good at or possibly good at.

Eat Healthy

Well, got up early at half nine this morning...decided to take a lil walk to ASDA instead of Tesco or Waitrose. Normally I am a meat person, but have bought many veg today.

Camden

College's timetable is messed up again, they change it again and again. Thought I do not have class till 1:30pm, so that I decided to go to Camden Market with Alec. We get out at around half 9 in the morning, as soon as we reach there the shops were not open yet (most of them). After brunch, many shops were open and I bought a bag. Going back to college and realized my class is suppose to be in the morning, but talked to the tutor and he let me join the menswear section cause he is going to teach the same thing.

AIS Alumni Reunion

Yesterday, it was the first London Alumni gathering since I left my school - American International School (Hong Kong). Was expecting to finish within 2 hours, but we ended up finished at 11pm from 3pm. We went to the famous restaurant sketch, then to the Trocadero to play some games and bowling. Lastly we had our dinner in a Japanese Restaurant in China Town. Great fun good day. It was such a good time.

Quilts

After tutorial and handing in my contextual studies project, I went to the V&A again for the Quilts: 1700-2010 exhibition. Amazed by all these hand work back in the days, wonder how machines dominated the world and how come there is hardly anyone doing these anymore.

Pancakes

Its another wonderful day in London with ultra nice weather.
To set off my day with some Blueberry pancakes, of cause need to match with butter and my favourite maple syrup.


Ok, need to get back to work.

Sarah Claire

There is another obsession and fascination about tights inside me. These are tights made by Sarah Claire. I cannot find her website, but you can get them from Bitching & Junkfood. Love them so much, but i did not get them.

Movies x3

Hi all, same as whatz happening to everyone most of the time. Whenever you were planned to work over the weekends or holidays, it will just never happen. yes, this is what i am doing today - watching movies. Here you go. Firstly, I have just finished watching The Blind-side with my housemates and friends. Now, I am watching Cirque du Freak: The Vampire assistant. Next, I am going to watching Kick-Ass with my housemates again! Will come back and let you know more.

okay im back. First, I must say I think The Blind-side was good, maybe its juz the heck of I cannot really say no to these kind of family drama movie. Second, Vampire assistant....I read the books ard six or seven years ago, so i do not really remember now. From my memory, it is mostly follow the flow with the book, but a lil slower than what I expect and a lil too dark. Maybe they should enchanted them a bit. Kick-ass..hmmm...I dunno! It is a bit weird cause it feels like it is a movie for teen but its not? and the combination is quite weird. Overall is not bad anyway.

Okay, this Decode exhibition at the V&A is been out there for long and im finally watching it now. As shown below, it is very digital and high technology. You have got to experiment with your own move in this exhibition. It covers every sound and movement you made.
